LoveFriday at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford

On one Friday evening each term, the Ashmolean Museum presents ‘LiveFriday’. These events give visitors the opportunity to see the collections after hours and attend themed workshops and performances. The theme of ‘LiveFriday’ on 27th June was ‘LoveFriday’, and the Enheduanna Society contributed a ZIPANG storytelling performance with Fran Hazelton and June Peters telling ‘Love Stories from Mesopotamia’. Fran told a story about the love-goddess Inana, based on a text related to King Iddin-Dagan. June told the story of ‘The Marriage of Martu’.
